Growing Mission
Spring is nearly here. With it we look forward to new growth of Sharing International! We have been planting many seeds like our recent meetings in chilly Canada. Sharing staff met there with Elio Medonia who oversees the refugee home project that we work with in the Dominican Republic. We were looking for a way to increase the work there. In collaboration with Mission Direct, our partners in the UK, we have been able to organize for full time missionaries to live on site at that project. As a result, it appears we may be able to begin work on another new village by Sharing Teams. The first trip this year is scheduled for July 11 to July 21. Hope you can make it!
New Web Site
Check out SharingInternational.org! After months of work it is finally taking shape. We are working to make it easier for people to find out about our trips, and have the resources they need to plan. Along with the site we are working with other web companies to increase the chances of people finding Sharing online. Already we have begun to get inquiries. Just in time the Lord has provided us with a volunteer registrar to handle the requests for information that are coming in. Praise the Lord!
New Radio Feature
We have been writing up some of the stories from past outreaches and putting them together in a short feature radio program called Share it Today. Last month at the National Religious Broadcasters convention we had a dozen radio professionals hear our new program and give us advice. Overall people were very enthusiastic and we came away with excellent tips for development of this program. We feel it is important because it will help to inform believers that there is a great need out there for teams, and it will point them to the resources for making a difference.
