………Return to Haiti…….
Sharing International was born in Haiti….and returning from teaching a seminar in Belize I stood in the Miami airport watching the TV with the horrible scenes of devastation of the earthquake. The noise around me faded to a muffled hum as I heard God say to my heart “Return to Haiti”. Since then, the more I seek Him, the more I pray those three words echo back “Return to Haiti”. After taking many short-term medical and construction teams to this stricken country and helping Christian radio stations there, the Lord turned our attention to Eastern Europe and Central America, training Christian leaders to start their own media to reach people for Christ and mentoring new mercy ministry start-ups.
“Return to Haiti”…what does all this mean, long/short term, media/medical construction teams? For how long? Not clear yet……but I’ve sought counsel and reached out to ministries currently on the ground in Haiti and this I do know:
- It will be launched after the third or fourth wave of relief work there….when Haiti begins to fade from the public’s attention and
- it will be done in partnership with other like-minded ministries.
We will post on this site when the details become available (be ready…you may get “the call”). If the Lord speaks to your heart….please let us know!
Help us by praying for wisdom, unity among the Haitian and international churches/mission works and the resources that will be necessary to do what God will lead us to do as we “….Return to Haiti…”
