Liberia--Accommodations
Current Status
While Monrovia and much of Liberia struggles to rebuild from war, Sharing Teams prepare to rebuild and rennovate orphanages in the midst of a destroyed nation. This presents challenges for our staff as we work to locate the ideal accommodations with good SECURITY for incoming teams. Much of the infrastructure of the capital city is still in disrepair. While there is great progress, day-to-day services like electricity, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, running water, and garbage pick-up can be non-existant in many places.
Staying In-Country
Details like FOOD, LODGING and in-country TRANSPORTATION are all arranged in advance by our Field Director and staff. Currently, teams live in close proximity to the city. We travel each day from our team accommodations to the orphanage site and other activities. Meals are generally served at restaurants, at the project site or back at the team house. We choose locations that we hope to be a haven for you to rest up from the day's work, fellowship with other team members, and have personal time with God.
Details change from time to time, so check back as your trip date approaches.
