Liberia Project Information: Landfill
In most developing nations people live in or near landfill areas. They find what they can to eat from the refuse of the cities. In some areas of West Africa we have witnessed violent fights over garbage. Unfortunately, starvation brings our neighbors to this level of desparation. In many places Sharing International provides some relief for the poor in these conditions by providing emergency food relief. With our work projects still reletively new in Liberia, we have concentrated our efforts on local orphanage reconstruction.
