Sometimes there is almost a festive feel in the local markets. Even though there is still so little available, the people turn out. It can be quite a contrast, to see the dusty paths and streets filled with colorful african clothing and animated "bargain expressions" on the faces of the people.
Beaches
During visits to the local beaches, hand-crafted items are usually available from local merchants. These could include carved wooden animals, decorative shells, and hand-woven fabrics. Almost any type of money can be used for purchase, and the seller is usually as happy as the buyer with any transaction.
