Sierra Leone: Transportation
Transportation is hired locally. We work to find those who have relatively dependable vehicles. In Sierra Leone people face huge challenges in putting commercial vehicles on the road. Parts and service are handled heroically! It is amazing that people emerging from a difficult war less than 10 years ago are able to offer the services they do.
Our goal is to find good value without sacrificing dependibility. We realize that teams have the desire to get out and make a difference...not stand on the side of the road waiting for a bus to be repaired. We do all we can to accomplish this, while at the same tiime keeping in mind... things are tough here. So far the equipment we have used has served us well.
